Reversi

Reversi is a two-colour strategy game on an 8×8 board. You play the dark discs and the computer plays the light ones. A move is legal only if it traps at least one line of the opponent's discs between the disc you place and another disc of your own; every trapped disc flips to your colour.

Small dots mark the squares where you can play. The lead can swing wildly in the last few moves, so counting discs early on tells you little. Corners can never be flipped back, which makes them the most valuable squares — and the squares next to an empty corner the most dangerous. If a player has no legal move, the turn passes.

Take turns placing discs to flip your opponent's. The game ends when neither side can move, and whoever has more discs wins.
