About Pyramid Pairs
Pyramid Pairs is a patience game built on simple sums. Twenty-eight cards are laid out as a pyramid, each row overlapping the one above, and the remaining twenty-four form the stock. Remove cards two at a time when their values add up to 13: an Ace counts 1, a Jack 11 and a Queen 12, so a Queen goes with an Ace, a Jack with a 2, a 10 with a 3 and so on. A King is worth 13 by itself and is removed with one tap.
A pyramid card can only be used once nothing overlaps it; covered cards are shown slightly darker. The top card of the pile beside the stock is always available as well. When you are stuck, turn a card from the stock. You may go through the stock three times in all. The pairs are listed on screen as a reminder. Clearing all twenty-eight cards wins, which a careful player manages in roughly one game in four.
How to play
Remove pairs of uncovered cards that total 13 until the pyramid is gone. Your score is the number of pyramid cards cleared out of 28.
