Avah silently wrapped her arms around him.
Hendrix immediately hugged her back. After a moment, he released her, lowered his head, and found her red lips, giving her a deep kiss.
“You can make the arrangements. There’s no rush. I’m just telling you that I’m ready. We’ll get our marriage certificate whenever you’re ready. My mom won’t be home, so I’ll talk to her tonight.”
“But we’ve only registered our marriage. We haven’t had the wedding yet, so whether my mom is home or not doesn’t really matter.”
Avah was the head of the family, and everyone was already used to letting her do whatever she wanted.
Hendrix said, “Tell Mom that if she wants to come back, she can. If she doesn’t, she can stay with Brother Titus and watch the show.”
“To be honest, I wanted to join in the fun too, but I couldn’t get away.”
