With Pedro by her side, Kathryn’s business continued to flourish, reaching even greater heights. By giving up her position and walking away from ill-gotten wealth, she built something truly her own—a life that was both peaceful and fulfilling, where every dollar she spent carried no burden of guilt.
Ben listened thoughtfully before speaking. “It won’t be easy, but our children are capable. I’m not worried about them. I believe Titus will restore order to the family and firmly secure his place as its head.”
He truly had no doubts about Titus’s future.
What concerned him, however, was something far more delicate—Titus’s relationship with Jennifer.
“When you go there,” Ben said, his tone turning serious, “have a proper talk with Jennifer. Don’t let her trap herself in just one identity. With how stubborn she is, I’m worried that once Titus takes over the Labbe family, she’ll feel even more unworthy of him and choose to leave.”
Jane frowned slightly. “I don’t think she’ll leave. She sees herself as nothing more than his servant, and once she’s made up her mind, nothing can change it. She’s loyal to Titus to a fault. If anyone stays, it’ll be her.”
Ben shook his head. “That’s not guaranteed. When it comes to emotions, people can make irrational choices. If she gets stuck in that mindset, she might really walk away. Before that happens, we need to guide her. That girl is the most stubborn person I’ve ever met.”
