Alex cursed Rowan in his heart.
That kid just can’t keep his mouth shut. Why does he always have to run to Grandma and blabber about everything?
He told Rowan to buy a house, but the boy refused. Instead, he kept bringing things up to Grandma—of all people! Didn’t he know she was the biggest gossip in the family?
Grandma might be old, but her mind was still sharp. If she came to visit a few times, she’d definitely figure out that Alex had other motives.
“I’m out buying materials right now,” Alex said into the phone. “I’ll be back in about ten minutes, Grandma. Just wait for me at the gate of Wordisk Garden. My hands were injured before, and I couldn’t work, so I decided to handle the renovations myself. It’s not a big deal—it’s just a regular apartment.”
The old lady chuckled. “I don’t care what kind of place it is. I’m just bored and wanted to take a look. It’ll kill some time. Alright then, Grandma will wait for you at the gate.”
“Okay,” Alex replied.
