The Lennox family was now in a passive position.
If they didn’t pay a high price to redeem the genuine items they had sold, Titus would report them to the police, and they would be convicted of theft. The amount involved was enormous, so they would face severe punishment.
Redeeming the genuine items would cost a fortune, and they would have to do it secretly without letting Titus know. Otherwise, if they were caught red-handed, Titus would send them to jail just the same.
Titus’s real purpose in returning wasn’t simply to become the head of the family. He also wanted to avenge his family.
What he wanted most was to bring Lennox’s entire family to justice, along with all the accomplices who had helped Lennox and killed the previous family head. Titus wouldn’t let any of them escape.
The families within the clan who had lived particularly well were almost all followers of Lennox back then, making them Titus’s enemies.
