Sonny was still asleep when Chairman Francoeur’s phone call woke him from a sweet dream.
“Chairman Francoeur.”
“Sonny, did I disturb you? I thought you were already awake.”
Hearing the sleepiness in Sonny’s voice and realizing that he had probably woken him up, Chairman Francoeur felt a little embarrassed.
Sonny said, “It’s nothing. My alarm is about to go off anyway. Chairman Francoeur, is there something urgent? Why are you calling so early?”
He assumed Chairman Francoeur wouldn’t call this early unless something important had happened.
Chairman Francoeur became even more embarrassed.
