Chapter 5467
Duncan laughed. “You’re willing to admit you’re getting old, but I’m not. I still feel young, like we just got married.”
Liberty looked at him with amusement. “Just got married? Livia is already in her mid-twenties, and you’re still saying we just got married? Everyone grows old, whether they want to admit it or not.”
Duncan smiled. “You’re right. I’ll face reality. Saying I’m young doesn’t actually make me young, so there’s no point fooling myself.”
He laughed as he drove. “Alright, alright. We’re getting older. Once Sonny gets married and has children, we can retire and spend our days enjoying our grandchildren.”
Liberty sighed. “The problem is, Sonny doesn’t want to get married. No matter how much we encourage him, he always says he’s too busy. He insists he’ll get married eventually, but every time we arrange a blind date, he refuses to go. Serenity even helps introduce nice girls to him, but what’s the use? He won’t even meet the ones we’ve picked.”
Duncan said, “We’re not the ones getting married. It doesn’t matter whether we like someone or not—it matters whether he does. Besides, with Sonny’s personality, he’s not the type to fall in love at first sight. He’s more suited to building a relationship over time. As long as he’s willing to give someone a chance, feelings can always grow.”
