Jane drew out the last part of her sentence, exchanged a glance with Lilian, and then both women stood up at the same time.
“Your master and I came back because we were worried something might happen to you,” Jane said to Titus. “Now that everything seems to be going smoothly, we’re no longer concerned.”
“Rushing back was exhausting. Your master and I need to go back and get some rest.”
Titus understood what the two elders meant. He and Jennifer stood to see them out, but Lilian waved them off.
“We’re family. Why be so formal? You two should get some rest—or discuss how you’re going to play boyfriend and girlfriend from now on.”
