“You’re telling us to move out?” Timothy stared at Titus in disbelief. “We’ve lived here for thirty years.”
Titus answered without hesitation. “Even if you’ve lived here for thirty years, it still isn’t your home. The only reason you were allowed to live here is because you and your father served as acting family heads.”
His blunt response left Timothy speechless.
Yes, they had lived there for thirty years.
So what?
The house had never belonged to them.
It was the official residence of the family head. In the absence of a legitimate patriarch, it had made sense for the acting family heads to live there. But that didn’t mean the property had become theirs.
