“I’m going to call your grandpa now. See you later,” Grandma Lewis said before quickly hanging up.
The moment the call ended, she immediately instructed the butler to prepare generous gifts for the visit to the York family. She also had him pack several of Livia’s favorite foods to bring along.
Her granddaughter lacked nothing materially, but she rarely had time to come home, and every visit was painfully brief. As a grandmother, all she could really do was prepare the foods Livia loved most.
It was a simple but heartfelt expression of love.
After ending the call, Livia remained seated in the gazebo instead of heading back inside. She called Serenity to let her know that her grandparents would be joining them for dinner.
Serenity replied with a laugh, “Don’t worry. Even if all your uncles and aunts show up, there’ll still be enough food. Your aunt already knew they’d come the moment they found out you were here.”
