It wasn’t that Serenity didn’t care about her son.
But responsibility was responsibility.
If her son weren’t capable, if he didn’t have the ability to take over the York Corporation, then it would be different.
But since Baby was outstanding, since he could shoulder the company, then he had to carry that weight.
Zachary often said he wanted to retire, but in truth, he simply wanted to help his son a little longer so Baby wouldn’t be exhausted.
