Serenity smiled. “That’s perfect. It’s the weekend anyway—we don’t have to work. We can stay at Wildridge Manor and keep Grandma company.”
“River and Romina’s wedding is coming up soon,” Camryn said. “Should we go early? Do you need our help?”
From the side, Callum chimed in, “We definitely need to go early—it’s just a matter of how many days. River is married, Alex has someone in mind, and now only Rowan is still single.”
He sighed as he spoke. “Time really flies. Sometimes I feel like I’m still eighteen. In the blink of an eye, my son is old enough to run errands, and I’ve already become a middle-aged uncle.”
Camryn teased him, “You could also think of yourself as an eighteen-year-old—single, free, and able to chase after younger, prettier girls.”
Callum quickly responded, “Even if I became young again, I’d still love only you and stay with you for life.”
Camryn rolled her eyes lightly. “I wasn’t even talking to you. Why are you so nervous?”
