Married At First Sight Chapter 4949

Second Uncle Pollock glanced at his wife, and Second Aunt Pollock looked straight at Alex before turning to Aitana.

“Joaquin must be misunderstanding your relationship with Alex,” she said. “He probably thinks the reason you won’t accept him is because of Alex — because Alex looks better than him, comes from a stronger family, has more ability, and earns more money. He can’t compete, so he blames Alex for your lack of feelings toward him.”

Aitana looked at Alex, gave him an awkward smile, and apologized softly. “Alex, I’m sorry. Because of me, Joaquin misunderstood you. I’ve explained it to him, but he still won’t believe me.”

Second Aunt Pollock continued, “Since Joaquin thinks you and Alex are involved, why don’t you two just pretend to be a couple and end it once and for all? Let Joaquin give up completely, so he can move on instead of lingering and bothering you.

You wouldn’t become enemies. But if he really can’t accept you being with Alex and decides to cut ties with our family, so be it. We’ll respect his decision.”

Both families ran clinics, technically as competitors. Still, the Pollocks never treated Joaquin like a rival. Their belief was simple: doctors exist to heal people. When young doctors lack experience and seek guidance, those who are more experienced should help them grow, not shut their doors out of fear of competition.

That was the Pollock family’s principle — the true heart of medicine.
