Curling Slide

Curling Slide is a gentle game of weight and aim. Six stones are delivered one at a time from the bottom of the sheet toward the house, the set of rings at the far end. Press on the stone, drag back and let go, like a catapult: the further you pull, the harder the throw, and a dotted line shows the direction.

The ice slows each stone steadily, so the skill lies in judging the weight. Too little and the stone stops short of the rings; too much and it slides off the end and is lost. Stones bump one another, which means a later throw can nudge an earlier stone closer to the middle or knock it out. The score is counted from where the stones lie: 5 for the centre spot, 3 for the white ring and 1 for the outer ring.

Deliver six stones. When they have all stopped, stones in the house score 5, 3 or 1 depending on how close they are to the centre.
