After leaving the airport, Sonny went straight back to Lewis & Co.
As soon as he arrived, he received a call from Serenity.
“Has Winnie left?” Serenity asked.
“Yes,” Sonny replied. “I just got back after seeing them off at the airport.”
Serenity nodded on the other end. “That’s good. Old Master Francoeur is getting older—it’s better that you escorted them personally. Did Winnie take all the gifts I prepared?”
“Aunt, those were your thoughtful gifts,” Sonny said. “Miss Winnie accepted them and was very happy. She even praised you for being considerate—especially for preparing something for her mother.”
He added with a slight chuckle, “There was just too much, so I bought two extra suitcases to pack everything and check them in.”
