As far back as he could remember, every meal at his aunt’s house had been elaborate. There were so many people in the family that the table was always filled with dishes.
In a smaller household, even two dishes and a soup might be more than enough.
“Auntie will handle everything. You just focus on eating,” she added. “Go have breakfast with Chairman Francoeur and the others. I should eat too.”
“Okay.”
After they ended the call, Serenity immediately grabbed a pen and paper and began writing out the menu.
Baby came downstairs and saw her scribbling away. He leaned over curiously. “Mom, what are you writing? Didn’t Brother Sonny say he’s bringing guests over? When are they arriving? Should I go pick them up?”
