“Ring, ring, ring…”
Sonny’s phone suddenly rang.
He paused and said to Serenity and Zachary, “Auntie, Uncle, my client should be arriving soon. I’ll go out and meet them.”
Serenity nodded. “Go ahead. Your uncle and I will go upstairs for dinner. And don’t forget—you’re staying at my house this weekend for a couple of days. Eat properly. You’ve lost so much weight. Take care of yourself and don’t skip meals.”
She fussed over him like a mother hen, unable to help herself.
“Auntie, I know,” Sonny replied obediently.
He stood near the elevator, watching Serenity and Zachary step inside before answering his phone and turning to leave.
