“Fabian and Belle are destined to miss each other,” Jane added. “His real love is still out there. One day, he’ll bring a girl home to meet you. They’re still young—no rush.”
Lilian nodded. “True. They’re in their early twenties. Titus is the one who should worry—he’s already in his thirties. But even then, he has Jennifer. In my heart, Jennifer has long been my apprentice’s wife.”
Jane smiled. “Avah told me to relax too. She said Jennifer is my daughter-in-law and can’t escape. Titus is just afraid to marry now—he worries something might happen to him. If he really wants to marry, he can persuade Jennifer. She’s too rigid. None of us elders can change her. Luckily, she listens to Avah.”
Avah was busy and rarely had time to focus on Titus’s personal life.
When Titus called her for help, she scolded him instead.
After strolling around the resort, Jane and Lilian prepared to leave.
Lilian had been paid handsomely to perform major surgery at a distant hospital, so she headed straight to the airport. Afterward, she would fly back to Annenburg.
