Alex stood up and said, “Aitana, come on. I’ll take you, your second aunt, and your brother for a walk. The kids probably ran off to the amusement park. Let’s go see if they’re there.”
“I knew those kids had disappeared,” Second Aunt Pollock laughed. “So the York family even has a children’s amusement park.”
Then she waved her hand lightly. “Alex, you just take Aitana. I’m getting older—my legs aren’t what they used to be. I’m tired today, so I’ll stay here and chat with Grandma.”
The younger cousin wanted to follow, but his second aunt gently tugged at him.
