“They woke up a while ago and ran off with Milo and Cairo,” Zachary said calmly. “They must’ve gone to the amusement park and are probably having a blast. Let them play. This is home—there’s no need to keep watching them.”
Once the children were back at Wildridge Manor, Zachary had nothing to worry about.
There were plenty of staff members throughout the estate, not to mention the extensive surveillance system and the central broadcast system. If needed, he could simply call out over the loudspeaker and his son would come running—there was no need to follow them step by step.
Serenity laughed. “We’d barely gotten out of the car and they were already gone. I thought they’d be exhausted and sleep for hours.”
Children truly had endless energy.
They’d only slept ten or twenty minutes in the car, and once they woke up, they were lively all over again.
