“Did you come straight home afterward?”
“Yeah,” Aitana nodded. “It was already ten when we left the theater. I have work tomorrow, and Alex does too, so we both came back early. He wanted to grab a late-night snack, but I told him I don’t usually eat that late unless I’m on a night shift. I politely declined.”
Her aunt nodded approvingly—Aitana always took good care of herself.
“Alex drove you home, didn’t he?” Second Aunt asked. “Why didn’t you invite him in for a glass of water?”
