“I like a spacious home,” Alex said. He was used to living in a large villa, so even when buying an apartment, he preferred a large flat. Ordinary apartments felt too small to him.
Aitana smiled. “Mr. York, you usually live in a big villa, right? Being used to that, even a large flat must seem small to you.”
“Not really,” Alex replied. “For one person, a large flat is still pretty spacious.”
Second Aunt got up to wash a plate of fruit. Seeing how well her niece and Alex were getting along, her impression of the young man improved even more.
“Mr. York, have some fruit,” she said warmly, offering him the plate.
“Mr. York, how’s your hand now?” she asked with genuine concern.
“It’s much better now,” Alex said with a grateful smile. “Thanks to Dr. Pollock’s good care, I’m recovering quickly. The dressing was changed before I was discharged. Dr. Pollock said I can remove the gauze completely in a few days.”
