Sonny didn’t refuse.
After hanging up, he handed the phone back to Liberty.
“Mom, I’m going to Dad’s tomorrow. I’ll be there for a couple of days.”
Liberty nodded. “That’s fine, sweetheart. You can stay a few extra days if you want. Your grandparents miss you, too.”
As long as Chelsea wasn’t around, Sonny actually enjoyed visiting the Browns. These days, they treated him like a treasure—after all, he was their only grandchild.
“Duncan, Liberty, you two go home and get some rest,” Mrs. Lewis said kindly. “Livia will stay here with us. When it’s time to head to the Yorks’ tonight, we’ll bring her along.”
She knew her son and daughter-in-law wouldn’t stay long at the old house. Since they were only in town for a couple of days, she wanted to make the most of their time together—and especially with Livia.
