“I will, Grandpa,” Sonny promised confidently. “I’ll study hard and get into a good university.”
“Good boy,” Mr. Lewis nodded approvingly.
Liberty and Duncan also greeted him with a warm “Dad” as he settled into his seat.
He placed Livia in his lap and said lovingly, “Come on, Livia, let Grandpa feed you.”
Livia looked up and replied seriously, “Grandpa, I can feed myself. I’ve been doing it for a long time now. Mom says I need to learn to do things on my own as I grow up.”
Liberty was strict with Livia—and for good reason.
