River’s ears turned a little red. “Sister-in-law, I’ve made up my mind. My feelings are clear—and they won’t change. Romina will be your sister-in-law one day.”
Serenity stood up. “I’ll go change. You take the kids outside to play. Don’t let them see me leave. And get a driver to take me.”
River nodded. “Got it. Just make sure you say something nice about me.”
