Annenburg, Province X — The Ormond Family
After dinner, Milo accompanied Belle for a walk in the yard.
Before long, Corbin rushed out of the house, caught up with them, and squeezed himself right between the two—successfully separating them.
“Sis,” Corbin said, grabbing Belle’s arm, “if you want to go for a walk, just tell me. I’ll go with you.”
Then he turned to Milo. “Brother Milo, you’ve been here long enough. It’s time to go back. If you keep taking leave, my brother Baby might fire you.”
Milo calmly stepped to Belle’s other side, sandwiching her between them again.
“I’ve only been here a few days,” he said lazily. “It’s only the 15th, and you’re already chasing me away? Besides, your brother won’t fire me—and even if he did, I wouldn’t mind. Squid’s not a bad place either.”
