After passing through Spirit Fruit Valley and climbing the rugged mountain path for two full days, Dustin and his group finally reached a place unlike anything else they had seen on Mount Buzhou.
It was a wide mountainside platform, relatively flat and roughly the size of several football fields.
Most surprising of all, a makeshift market had formed there.
Dozens of crude stalls were scattered across the open ground. Some vendors had simply laid animal hides on the earth, displaying magical artifacts that glowed faintly with spiritual energy. Others had erected simple wooden frames covered with cloth, hanging rows of elixir bottles and jars beneath the shade. People wandered between the stalls—some browsing, others whispering quietly as the sounds of bargaining rose and fell through the air.
“This… this is incredible!” Scarlet said, her eyes wide with amazement. “There’s actually a market in a place like this?”
Dustin looked around thoughtfully.
“As the number of survivors on Mount Buzhou grows, people naturally need to exchange supplies and information. When that happens, markets form sooner or later.”
