Sonny said with a smile, “Chairman Francoeur must envy your family. You’re big and united.”
Baby nodded. “That’s true. The atmosphere at home is the best. Whenever I’m exhausted or feel wronged outside, all I want is to go home. Once I’m back, everything feels okay.”
Home was their safe harbor.
After entering the house, Sonny introduced Chairman Francoeur and Winnie to the York family members. Whenever guests arrived in the main hall, staff from the three master residences would come to assist with hospitality.
Chairman Francoeur was only a few years older than Tania and Liam, so they were of the same generation. They quickly connected over tea and snacks. Later, without Sonny, the three York brothers accompanied Chairman Francoeur on a tour of the resort.
Winnie stayed with Serenity and the others, while Sonny followed along. After all, Winnie was his client; he couldn’t simply leave her to his aunt.
The resort was massive. The grandfather and granddaughter spent the entire afternoon walking around, barely managing a general overview. If they had explored alone, they would have gotten lost. The place was simply too large to memorize after one casual visit.
