Chairman Francoeur said, “Two great-grandchildren are possible—but first, you need to fall in love, find a boyfriend, get married, and then give your grandfather two babies to hold.”
Winnie turned helplessly to Sonny. “See? My grandfather never misses a chance to push me toward marriage. Mr. Brown, does your family pressure you too?”
Sonny smiled. “Of course. My elders urge me to get married, but they don’t pressure me. They’ve told me not to settle. I assured them I won’t stay single forever. They’re not worried—I just need to meet someone I truly like, someone worth giving up my single life for.”
Winnie nodded. “I’m still waiting for my destined person to knock on my door.”
Both of them understood what it felt like to be urged toward marriage. The shared experience subtly closed the distance between them.
Sonny led the grandfather and granddaughter out of the hotel.
“Brother! Over here!”
