“Thank you, Uncle Alex! I love you the most!” Cairo said happily.
Trenton immediately protested, sounding jealous. “Cairo, didn’t you say you loved Uncle Trenton the most? How did it become Uncle Alex now?”
Cairo replied seriously, “I love everyone the most! I love Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, and all my uncles and aunts the most!”
Trenton burst out laughing. “You really do love everyone equally.” He hugged Cairo, then said to Alex, “I just got back from a business trip. I’m exhausted and don’t feel like driving. You drive—I’ll watch Cairo.”
Alex replied calmly, “I wasn’t expecting you to drive anyway.”
A few minutes later, Alex drove Trenton and Cairo away from the kindergarten.
