When it was time to get off work, Aitana stood up, changed out of her work clothes, picked up her handbag, and said to Yehua, “Ms. Yehua, let’s go.”
Yehua smiled. “Alright.”
The two of them had once been rivals in love—or rather, Yehua had unilaterally regarded Aitana as her rival.
Aitana, however, had never loved Dr. Legare. From the very beginning, she had never considered Yehua a rival.
On the contrary, she had repeatedly tried to persuade Dr. Legare to accept Yehua—the woman who truly loved him. The main reason was that Dr. Legare wasn’t completely indifferent to Yehua. If he truly had no feelings for her at all, Aitana would never have offered such advice.
She had simply been afraid of creating a resentful, tangled relationship between the two of them.
After leaving the hospital, Yehua said, “Let’s go to a local restaurant not far from our clinics. The food there is pretty good—everything is cooked fresh, not pre-made.”
