After calming her second uncle and aunt, Aitana went upstairs to rest.
Twenty minutes before her shift started, Alex came to pick her up.
A short while later, Aitana stepped out of the elevator and walked toward her office.
“Dr. Pollock!”
Several nurses called out in unison when they saw her.
Startled, Aitana instinctively went to the nurses’ station. Before they could explain, she asked, “Did that auntie come again?”
“Yes,” a nurse replied. “Dr. Legare came with his parents. They seem to be here to apologize. They brought a lot of gifts and are waiting outside your office.”
