“Your grandpa said he doesn’t want anything too big. Just the family getting together for a meal when everyone’s home is enough. No need for a banquet. We don’t celebrate birthdays like that. But since Grandma York wants to come, once your grandparents return, let’s invite Alex and his grandma over so the families can meet.”
He suspected that Grandma York wanted both families to meet properly—especially since most of the Zeng family had never seen Alex. Aitana’s parents hadn’t met him either; they’d only heard how outstanding he was. Whether her brother and sister-in-law approved would only be clear after meeting in person.
Aitana said, “I figured Grandpa wouldn’t want anything grand. Once they return, I’ll talk to Alex and ask him to bring Grandma York over for a visit.”
