Chapter 5062
“Playing the same things every day gets boring. Once the kids are a little older, we’ll take them to the horse farm and teach them how to ride. They need something fresh and exciting,” Alex said with a smile.
Then he turned to Aitana. “Can you ride a horse?”
Aitana shook her head. “No, I can’t. I’ve only seen horses on TV. The only times I’ve seen them in real life were during school trips to the zoo, and even those were rare. The adults in my family were always too busy to take us anywhere.
“When I was little, if I wanted to go to the zoo, I had to wait until New Year. That was the only time the adults in my family might take a day off. We’d go to the zoo for a day, and that was it. As I got older, schoolwork became more demanding, and there was even less time to go out.”
As she spoke, she drifted back to her childhood. She remembered how she and her sisters worked hard not because anyone forced them, but because they had goals—goals they chased with everything they had.
They knew that if they didn’t push themselves, they’d only fall further behind. So they studied relentlessly, never needing supervision or tutoring. Their grades were earned through pure effort.
