Aitana smiled gently. “Grandma York, you’re too kind. It was nothing. It’s normal for neighbors to ask each other for advice when they’re buying or renovating a house. Everyone likes to share their experiences.
“Alex, you haven’t joined the Wordisk Garden owners’ group yet, right? I’ll add you later. Once you’re in the group, you can ask anything you’re unsure about. Everyone is very helpful.”
Alex nodded. “Then add me in later. I’m not part of the group yet.”
The maid brought out fresh fruit and fragrant tea.
They chatted comfortably for a while, and soon it was time for dinner.
Aitana felt a bit embarrassed. She had originally come to spend time with Grandma York, but because she arrived late, she ended up making the old lady wait. Yet everyone treated her with such warmth that she relaxed and sat with them at the table.
The table was full of dishes—plenty of variety. She took a quick look and realized several of them were her favorites. The rest, while not her top choices, were still things she liked.
