Alex truly meant what he said. He hadn’t known much about these things before, but he planned to learn. He wanted to make sure his future wife always stayed youthful and glowing.
“Aitana, you’re here! Come, sit next to Grandma.” The old lady stood up with a warm smile and waved her over.
Following Alex, Aitana stepped forward and greeted everyone politely.
She already knew Alex’s brother and sister-in-law from the hospital, and she had shared a meal with Serenity and her husband before, so she was familiar with them. She wasn’t as familiar with Camryn—having only met her once—but she still greeted her warmly.
Alex’s parents subtly looked her over, both wearing gentle, approving smiles as they returned her greeting.
“Miss Pollock, please sit,” Madisyn said kindly. “Sit right here next to the old lady—she’s been talking about you all morning.”
Aitana sat down beside the old lady while holding Belle, and Serenity quickly reached over to take the little girl from her arms.
