Liberty and Duncan had just returned to the Lewis estate with Sonny and little Livia.
Out of respect for Duncan and her in-laws, Liberty always stopped at her husband’s family home first after returning from Jensburg—before heading back to Wildridge Manor.
“Livia, Sonny!”
Mrs. Lewis had known for days that Duncan and Liberty were coming home today.
As soon as the butler announced the fourth young master’s return, Mrs. Lewis lit up like a child at Christmas. She rushed outside—and spotted Sonny stepping out of the car, cradling his baby sister in his arms.
Beaming, Mrs. Lewis came down the steps, arms already outstretched.
“Grandma,” Livia said in her sweet baby voice.
